Chloe was called to the bar in 2017. After successfully completing her pupillage under the supervision of Julia Baggs, Chloe was offered tenancy at Wilberforce Barristers in September 2020. Chloe practises in all areas of family law.
Chloe regularly acts on behalf Local Authorities and has significant experience in drafting case management documents, skeleton arguments and providing written advice. Chloe has experience in dealing with cases involving international elements.
In addition, Chloe has frequently appeared on behalf of parents, children, and intervenors in a wide range of hearings including but not limited to interim hearings, fact find hearings and final hearings. Chloe often deals with proceedings with serious allegations of domestic abuse, sexual abuse and non-accidental injuries.
Chloe acts for private clients on a wide range of issues including specific issue applications, non-molestation orders, occupation orders and child arrangements orders. Chloe’s approachable yet pragmatic nature helps to provide clients with realistic expectations whilst settling their nerves during what is often a very difficult time.
In addition, Chloe has experience in appearing before the National Deprivation of Liberty Court at Royal Court of Justice regarding applications to deprive a child of its’ liberty.

Re P and S (Fact-finding) [2020] EWFC 71– Secured exoneration for a childminder intervenor in a multi-handed fact find involving a 13-month-old child who had suffered 16 different fractures (13 of which were metaphyseal fractures). https://www.bailii.org/ew/cases/EWFC/HCJ/2020/71.html
R v KC and TC [2021] – as junior counsel under the lead of Julia Baggs, she represented one of two defendants charged with serious sexual offending and child cruelty against multiple members of their family. The case included a number of young witnesses which were cross-examined via the Section 28 procedure.
Re M [2021] – represented the Local Authority in the High Court regarding proceedings issued under the inherent jurisdiction to deprive the child of his liberty.
B (A child) (Fact-finding) [2023] – represented the Local Authority under the lead of Richard Lee where findings were secured against a Mother in respect of significant non-accidental injuries to a 15 week old child. A successful appeal was lodged on behalf of the Mother which saw the findings overturned and a re-hearing ordered. Chloe represented the Local Authority as junior counsel throughout the case including the re-hearing.
