Jonathan Wilson

Jon is a specialist family law barrister. He joined the Wilberforce Barrister team to become one of our more senior advocates.

Jon has been practising in family law for over 20 years. In the first instance Jon qualified as a solicitor in Hull but he always specialised in family law. He transferred to the Bar in 2005 and has developed a strong reputation over the years for handling complex, serious public law cases.

Although Jon was previously based in Leeds, his practice has always remained in the Hull and Grimsby courts.

Jon’s cases encompass all aspects of children law, although his main area of practice is in the public arena. He regularly represents local authorities, parents, and children as part of his busy practice.
