Julia Baggs secures acquittal of all charges on multiple count rape indictment

Julia represented a defendant charged on indictment with two counts of rape and one count of assault by penetration.

The prosecution alleged that the defendant raped his partner, weeks after giving birth.  Whilst that police investigation was ongoing the prosecution alleged that the defendant raped the wife of his best friend.  The two women were unknown to each other.

Following a five day trial before HHJ Fanning at Grimsby Crown Court the jury unanimously acquitted the defendant of all counts.

Julia was instructed by John Robinson and Co Solicitors.
