Benjamin Rose successful in Committal for Contempt in Divorce proceedings.

B v B – Grimsby Family Court – 11 November 2025

Benjamin successfully represented the applicant wife in proceedings for contempt and committal in the family court. The matter has been before the court for over a year, with Benjamin successfully obtaining a worldwide freezing injunction for the same client in July 2025. The respondent husband failed to engage properly with proceedings and was found to have wilfully obstructed proceedings, attempted to hide assets, failed to comply with seven separate orders, four with penalties notices attached, and breached the freezing injunction.

After finding 8 breaches proven and hearing Benjamin on the aggravating features of this particular matter, DJ Regan sentenced the respondent to 6 months imprisonment, suspended for 6 months, and made an order for payment of the applicant wife’s costs of £9668.

Benjamin is a specialist Financial Remedies practitioner, a member of the Family Law Bar Association, and is able to accept instructions on both a private and legal aid basis.
