Amber Hobson successfully prosecutes defendant for ‘vicious attack’.

Amber Hobson prosecuted a defendant in a 5 day trial of controlling coercive behaviour and causing actual bodily harm in what was described by the judge as a "vicious attack". The controlling and coercive behaviour spanned a 6 year relationship and included daily threats of violence, regular attacks and degrading verbal abuse.

The defendant was convicted of both counts on the indictment and sentenced to 5 years in custody by HHJ Thackeray KC.

The complainant also received a life long restraining order.
