Claire Holmes successfully prosecutes 2 males charged with trafficking and rape of 7 girls aged 12-15.

One defendant pleaded guilty to making illegal images of children and one count of rape of a Child under 13.  He was convicted by jury of 8 further counts of rape [one a child under 13], two counts of meeting a child following sexual grooming, two counts of false imprisonment and six counts of facilitating travel of another person with a view to exploitation.   

 

Today he received a total sentence of 32 years comprising 29 years custodial and 3 years extended licence.  

 

The second male was convicted of two counts of facilitating travel of another person with a view to exploitation in his absence and will be sentenced on a future date.
